This is how I wasted all my life.

I thought money is the only source to my live life happily, but now I understood money is nothing when compared to being a human. When I was walking on roads I found a small sales boy (may be he has hardly 12 years old) selling some news papers. There was a Blind beggar crossing that road, I thought of helping him, even before I could make up my mind to get up and help him, the so called small sales boy went to that beggar and took him to other way safely and to my surprise he didn't stop there, he went into the shop and bought some cookies and gave to that fellow.

Then a proverb suddenly struck my mind."We can't bring anything to this world and we can't take anything from this world" not even the dress you wear. He might have sold his papers with Rs 50  profit, thought he is spending Rs 20 for that beggar. Hats Off that cute little heart.

May be some people can turn up after reading these lines like that little boy.... Hope I can too be one who have changed.

play hunt the wumpus world game by just downloading here

Hunt the Wumpus is an early computer game, based on a simple hide and seek format featuring a mysterious monster (the Wumpus) that lurks deep inside a network of rooms. It was originally a text-based game written in BASIC. It has since been ported to various programming languages and platforms including graphical versions.

Gameplay:

Objects -
Wumpus - a beast that eats anyone that enters its room.
Agent - the player that traverses the world in search of gold and while trying to kill the wumpus.
Bats (not available in all versions) - creatures that instantly carry the agent to a different room.
Pits - bottomless pit that will trap anyone who enters the room except for the wumpus.
Actions - There are six possible actions:
A simple move Forward.
A simple Turn Left by 90°.
A simple Turn Right by 90°.
The action Grab can be used to pick up gold when in the same room as gold.
The action Shoot can be used to fire an arrow in a straight line in the current direction the agent is facing. The arrow continues until it hit and kills the wumpus or hits a wall.
The action Climb can be used to climb out of the cave but only when in the initial start position.
Senses - There are five senses, each only gives one bit of information:
In the square containing the wumpus and in the directly (not diagonal) adjacent squares, the agent will perceive a Stench.
In the squares directly adjacent to the bats, the agent will perceive the Bats
In the squares directly adjacent to a pit, the agent will perceive a Breeze.
In the square where gold is, the agent will perceive a Glitter.
When the agent walks into a wall, the agent will perceive a Bump.
When the wumpus is killed, it emits a Scream that can be perceived anywhere in the cave.

The vertices of a dodecahedron illustrate one common shape of the labyrinth in the Hunt the Wumpus game.

The original text-based version of Hunt the Wumpus uses a command line text interface. A player of the game enters commands to move through the rooms or to shoot "crooked arrows" along a tunnel into one of the adjoining rooms. There are twenty rooms, each connecting to three others, arranged like the vertices of a dodecahedron or the faces of an icosahedron (which are identical in layout). Hazards include bottomless pits, super bats (which drop the player in a random location, a feature duplicated in later, commercially published adventure games, such as Zork I, Valley of the Minotaur, and Adventure), and the Wumpus itself. The Wumpus is described as having sucker feet (to escape the bottomless pits) and being too heavy for a super bat to lift. When the player has deduced from hints which chamber the Wumpus is in without entering the chamber, he fires an arrow into the Wumpus's chamber to kill it. The player wins the game if he kills the Wumpus. However, firing the arrow into the wrong chamber startles the Wumpus, which may cause it to move to an adjacent room. The player loses if he or she is in the same room as the Wumpus (which then eats him or her) or a bottomless pit.

Hedy Lamarr: The Other Side of the Screen Siren

1930s actress Hedy Lamarr-inventor of cellphones, Wi-Fi and GPS

Hedy Lamarr is remembered as a stunning legend in Hollywood's Golden Age. However, most people do not know that she would co-patent the technology for today's cellphones, Wi-Fi and GPS by building a torpedo for the U.S.Navy.
This may have remained the world's best kept secret if it were not for author Richard Rhodes. He had become intrigued with Hedy Lamarr after he finished 30-years of working on a four-volume set about the history of the nuclear age. One of them, "The Making of the Atomic Bomb," had earned him a Pulitzer Prize.
LA Times writer, Adam Tschorn, has reported that Rhodes has just finished writing, "Hedy's Folly: The Life and Breakthrough Inventions of Hedy Lamarr, the Most Beautiful Woman in the World." What has been found is that she was co-holder in 1942 of a patent on spread spectrum radio, a technology that would eventually underlie today's mobile and cordless telephones, the Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS.
Tschorn said that this would be similar to crediting the beautiful Fawcett for developing Google's proprietary search algorithm. It is difficult to comprehend or correlate the two together. But in reality, Hedy Lamarr was born as Hedwig Kiesler, an inquisitive young child who had been encouraged by her father to expand on this talent.

She would eventually marry Fritz Mandl, a munitions manufacturer, where she would become involved in a world filled with technical data. When she became involved as an actress in Hollywood, she had time on her hands because she did not like to drink, or go to loud and drunken parties. Invention became her hobby.
That hobby was having an inventor's corner set up in her Hollywood home that included a drafting table and tools. One of Lamarr's major inventions was the bouillon cube that would create a beverage when mixed with water. Howard Hughes lent her a pair of chemists to assist her inventor's lab. In addition to the bouillon she developed a fluorescent dog collar; a special technique to tighten the skin; and modifications to the Concorde airliner.
As time went on, she would eventually co- patent "U.S. Patent Number 2,292,387 under her married name, Hedy Kiesler Markey. Her partner would be George Antheil, the notable MGM costume designer Adrian she met in 1940 at dinner party hosted by a mutual friend. With a goal to help the U.S. military, they would combine their knowledge to develop a torpedo guidance system for the U.S. Navy. Way before the United States had entered the war, Lamarr was unhappy over the fact that German's actions would cause a ship to sink, while carrying dozens of children. The torpedo was her best project to build a better war bomb.
Lamarr and Adrian developed a method that would cause hopping or switching between radio frequencies that would prevent communications from being detected, and therefore prevent them from being jammed by enemies.
However, she would received very little, if any, recognition for her efforts. She would remain a siren of Hollywood with no credit given to her for her extreme intelligence.
"Lamarr’s effort to invent a radio-guided torpedo as a contribution to the Allied cause in World War II has been noted here and there since the 1940s."

Bishop Eddie Long's Wife Decides to (Again) File for Divorce

After much-back-and-forth over the issue, Bishop Eddie Long's wife announced that she will indeed go through with her petition to divorce the megachurch pastor.

In a statement issued late Friday, Vanessa Long's attorney says "she has determined that dismissal of her divorce petition is not appropriate at this time," reports Associated Press. Earlier Friday, she said in a statement released through Eddie Long's New Birth Missionary Baptist Church that she loves her husband and planned to withdraw her petition.

It was just yesterday that she filed for divorce from her husband of 20 years, saying, "After a great deal of deliberation and prayer, I have decided to terminate my marriage to Bishop Eddie L. Long. Accordingly, I authorized my attorneys to file for divorce on December 1, 2011."

Bishop Long has been involved in a series of highly publicized sexual abuse scandals over the past two years.

This summer, Eddie Long’s church, New Birth Missionary Baptist, dismissed widely circulated rumors that Vanessa had moved out of the couple’s home shortly after Eddie settled a sexual misconduct case with four men for $15 million.

The settlement stemmed from accusations made against the bishop by Anthony Flagg, Spencer LeGrande, Jamal Parris and Maurice Robinson, who all claimed that Long sexually abused them as young men, offering them gifts and money for their participation. Long denies any wrongdoing.

In October of this year, however, the bishop was involved in yet another scandal when 10 parishioners of his church brought a lawsuit against Long alleging that they lost more than a million dollars after being influenced by Long to invest in businessman Ephren Taylor’s company, City Capital.

Eddie Long’s marriage to Vanessa was his second marriage. The two married in 1990 and have three children together; Edward, Jared and Taylor.

How the Grinch Stole Christmas!

How the Grinch Stole Christmas! is a children's story by Dr. Seuss written in rhymed verse with illustrations by the author. It was published as a book by Random House in 1957, and at approximately the same time in an issue of Redbook. Critics argue that the book criticizes the commercialization of Christmas and satirizes those who profit from exploiting the holiday.

Plot:

The Grinch, a fictional, bitter, cave-dwelling creature with a heart "two sizes too small", lives on snowy Mount Crumpit, a steep, 3,000-foot (910 m) high mountain just north of Whoville, home of the merry and warm-hearted Whos. His only companion is his faithful dog, Max (a redbone coonhound). From his perch high atop Mount Crumpit, the Grinch can hear the noisy Christmas festivities that take place in Whoville. Annoyed and unable to understand the Whos' happiness, he makes plans to descend on the town and deprive them of their Christmas presents, Who-ham and decorations and thus "prevent Christmas from coming." However, he learns in the end that despite his success in taking away all the Christmas presents and decorations from the Whos, Christmas comes just the same. He then realizes that Christmas is more than just gifts and presents. Touched by this, his heart grows three sizes larger; he returns all the presents and trimmings and is warmly welcomed into the community of the Whos.

Adaptations:

Chuck Jones adapted the story as an animated special in 1966, featuring narration by Boris Karloff, and songs sung (uncredited) by Thurl Ravenscroft. The animated film often appears on American television during the Christmas season.

In 1975, Zero Mostel narrated an LP record of the story.

The book was translated into Latin as Quomodo Invidiosulus Nomine Grinchus Christi Natalem Abrogaverit: How the Grinch Stole Christmas in Latin by Jennifer Morrish Tunberg with the assistance of Terence O. Tunberg in 1997.

A musical stage version was produced by the Old Globe Theatre, San Diego, in 1998. It also was produced on Broadway and a limited-engagement US tour in 2008.

The book was adapted into a live-action film starring Jim Carrey in 2000.

The Grinch character was reprised in Seuss's Halloween Is Grinch Night and The Grinch Grinches the Cat in the Hat.

The Grinch and Max also appear in the children's show, The Wubbulous World of Dr. Seuss.
